James Munton’s CyberSense Live receives the highest praise from educators, students and parents.
James has appeared on ABC, NBC and Fox News and has been featured in articles in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Dallas Morning News. James has performed at the White House three times, for the Vice President, the Secretary of State, the U.S. Treasurer, for senators and ambassadors and at over one hundred schools each year.

Bio

While other children played soccer in the park, James spent his teenage years in the company of London’s cardsharpers learning how to cheat at cards. A local magician steered his talents in a more honest direction and, following an apprenticeship in the art of legerdemain, James began performing magic professionally.

After graduating from university, James taught at schools in England and Japan. Since moving to the United States in 1997, James has provided educational entertainment to over one million students.

CyberSense Live is a 45-minute assembly program that makes children aware of online risks and then teaches easily implemented solutions to protect themselves.

While writing his first book The Con: How Scams Work, Why You’re Vulnerable and How to Protect Yourself (published by Rowman & Littlefield) James discovered the huge problem of child identity theft. He realized that ID theft, cyberbullying, sexting and online predators all have a common link: young people are sharing too much information online, often without thinking of the dire consequences. His second book CyberSense: The 7 Steps to Keeping Your Kids Safe Online has received many positive reviews from parents, counselors and educators.

With over 15 years of experience presenting school assemblies, James Munton is an expert at communicating to children in large group settings. As one teacher commented: “the students and teachers alike were spellbound.”

E. Kuylen, Cinco Ranch Jr. High

“Awesome! The kids (and teachers) were engaged throughout the program! You did an amazing job of tying your magic to the topic of the day. Parents told me that the kids mentioned immediately when they got in the car after school. Great presentation!”

B. Hermans, Coppell West Middle School

“The kids were entertained and learned valuable strategies to be safe in the virtual world. Very appreciative of James! He was very professional and engaging.”
